District 5 Director Candidate - Melissa menchhofer
Melissa Menchhofer and her husband, Tom, have been members of Southeastern Indiana REMC for over thirty years. They operate a livestock and grain farm, and Melissa is the financial manager of the family business. Her business experience also includes managing the finances of several local mid-sized businesses and non-profit organizations.
Melissa has served as an REMC board member for four years. She currently represents the cooperative on the Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) board of directors. She has completed the Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) certification and is currently pursuing Board Leadership (BL) certification, both through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
She is a graduate of South Ripley High School in Versailles, Indiana and holds an Associate’s degree from Purdue University.
Melissa has served the community as a poll worker on election day and she participated in the REMC community service day project at the Versailles State Park. She has also served in various leadership capacities at the Hopewell Baptist Church.
She and her family are members of the Hopewell Baptist Church, in Holton, Indiana.
